Surfaces

A surface is an interface an operator uses, such as a hardware panel, an iPad, or a browser view, attached to a Position. The Position defines the workspace; its surfaces make that workspace's buttons and displayed state available on physical and on-screen devices.

Use these pages when you set up or install panels: confirm a device is supported before you adopt it, add it and attach it to a Position, and set its orientation to match how it is mounted.

Where Buttons shows which surface models it can drive, and what a Not supported device means in Discovered surfaces.

Add and attach a surface

Discover and adopt a hardware panel, create an iPad or Custom Web View surface, and attach it to a Position.

Device orientation

Tell Buttons how a panel is physically mounted so button and encoder mapping stays correct, and check the result after installation.
